Are you Qualified Opticians?
Yes we are. Our services are supervised by a qualified optometrist, with more than 30 years of experience. Every pair of prescription glasses we make is double-checked by experienced staff prior to supply,  to ensure that you will be perfectly happy with your purchase. But should you have any concerns about a product, we are here to help you.

Can I order over the phone?
Sorry - we can only accept orders placed though our website. If you require assistance with placing your order, please contact us.

How do I buy a new pair of glasses?
Buying prescription glasses at The Specs Place is very easy, with detailed instructions provided at every step. You will need the following items in advance:

• A spectacle prescription issued in the UK or Ireland which is less than two years old
• A valid credit or debit card (VISA, VISA Electron, Delta, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro)
• If you wish to use our free PD measurement service, you will also require a camera (film, polaroid, digital or mobile phone)

What are 'New Lenses Only'?
You supply the frame - we supply New Lenses Only!
This is a unique on-line service from The Specs Place . After supplying us with your new prescription and payment details, you send us your old glasses (or a new frame to which you would like your prescription fitted). We clean and service your frame if necessary, and fit brand new lenses. Best of all, you only pay for the lenses. Costs start from just £15 for top quality single vision plastic lenses. Do you supply glass lenses?
As a safety precaution, we supply only plastic lenses. They will safeguard your eyesight much better than wearing potentially dangerous glass lenses so close to your eyes.

How long will my specs take to make?

The lenses in my old glasses are scratched, but I really like the frame. Can you help?
Yes. Select our New Lenses Only service and send us your specs: from only £15, we can ultrasonically clean your frame and fit brand new prescription lenses.

My glasses have become very loose and are out of shape, can you help me?
Certainly, please return them to us with an explanation of the problems. However, before returning any spectcles to us, please contact us

What if I am not happy with my purchase?

These purchases are covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If, for any reason you're not delighted with your purchase, you may return it to us in saleable condition within 14 days of receipt, for a full refund. Please contact us before returning any products to us.

Prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses
In the event of any problem with your purchase due to a fault or failure on our part, we shall do our very best to rectify the matter as soon as possible. Please contact us before returning any products to us.

Do you ship goods outside the UK?
We currently supply the UK and Ireland only. Sorry, we cannot yet ship to other countries (apart from BFPO addresses).

Do you ship to BFPO (British Forces Post Office) Addresses?
Yes. We're happy to supply goods to any BFPO address. However, please note that delivery may take longer than the times stated in the Delivery Times section of our website, depending on where you are located.

The 'Padlock' Secure Site symbol appears in my web browser when I view your site. Why is this?
