Standard Plastic Lenses
Our standard lens, made from a clear acrylic material called CR39. Provides very high optical performance with much better resistance to breakage, compared to glass.

Tinted Lenses
Choose this option to add a coloured or grey tint, mirror coating to your lenses. We can produce a wide range of different tints for suit all requirements, from light tints for everyday use to deep tints for strong sunshine.

Standard Lens + Anti-Reflection & Anti-Scratch
Reduce glare and help preserve the useful life of your lenses with this highly effective combined anti-scratch and anti-reflection coating.

Hydrophobic Anti-Reflection / Anti-Scratch
A state-of-the art lens which actually repels water, causing it to bead and run off the lens. Also provides glare reduction, anti-scratch, anti-fog and anti-smear properties.

30% Thinner Lenses
These lenses are made from a special material using a optimised lens shape to produce a finished lens which is typically 30% thinner than a standard lens of the same prescription. Typical Index Range: 1.56-1.6 (depending on prescription)

45% Thinner Lenses
This lens combines the best aspheric design and shape optimisation, together with the latest lens materials to produce a lens which is typically 45% thinner than a standard lens of the same prescription. Highly recommended for spectacle wearers with prescriptions over +/-4.00D. Typical Index Range: 1.6-1.67 (depending on prescription)

Transitions®
Lenses which rapidly darken when exposed to bright sunlight, fading back to virtually clear when indoors. Transitions® lenses also block UV light, protecting your eyes from potentially harmful effects. Available in Brown or Grey versions.

Polarised Lenses
PolarisedA special type of tinted lens which dramatically reduces glare due to reflected sunlight, as well as improving contrast. Particularly recommended for daytime driving and outdoor sports such as angling, water sports, golf & cricket. Please note that we stock a wide range of high performance specs specifically for sports. Available in Brown, Grey and Green version.

 

30% Thinner Transitions® Lenses
Get the best of both worlds! Light-reactive Transitions® technology combined with a 30% thinner lenses. Typical Index range 1.6 - 1.67.

Drivewear® Lenses
The ULTIMATE Driving Lens, combining the benefits of NuPolar a polarised lens with Transitions® technology that even activates behind the car windscreen:

  • In the car (dull weather) - Light amber polarised enhances contrast and sharpness
  • In the car (sunny weather) - The Transitions® layer activates, turning the lens a medium brown sunglass tint, increasing glare protection
  • Outdoors (sunny weather) - The lens changes to a deep brown tint, giving maximum glare protection.

Drivewear lenses also provide 100% UV400 protection, whatever the weather is like. NB: Drivewear lenses are not suitable for driving at night.

 

Oakley Lens Options
Only available with Oakley Prescription Sunglasses.

  • Clear + MAR - A clear lens with Anti-Reflection Coating
  • Iridium - Tinted lenses with reflective mirror finish
  • Polarised - High performance glare-blocking lenses. "Iridium" indicates reflective mirror finish.
