Buying Glasses Online
Introduction
This is a step-by-step guide which explains how to buy glasses online using our website. If you are unsure of anything or you experience any problems using the site, please don't hesitate to contact us.
1. Choosing a Frame
- Click Men's Specs or Women's Specs to display a list of styles. Now click one of the styles to display a selection of frames on the screen. By default, the frames are displayed in ascending price order - click the Sort by Price button to sort in descending price order instead.
- All prices shown INCLUDE standard clear lenses. You can choose other types of lenses in Step 3.
- To view more frames in the same category, click the next link at the top of the page
- To see a bigger picture of a frame and find our more about it, click on the name of the frame. The product detail page appears.
2. Select the Frame
- The product detail page contains more information about the frame you selected in step 1. To view a bigger picture of the frame, click Click for larger image at the top of the page.
- Some frames are available in different colours or sizes. To view the different options, click the drop down menu(s) under Product Options.
- To choose the type of lenses you require, click the Select Item button, near the bottom of the page. A list of lens options is then displayed.
- To go back to the previous page, click Back.
3. Choosing Lenses
- On the first page, you select what type of specs you require: Distance or Reading. If you're not sure, please contact the optometrist who did your last eye test.
- Depending on which option you choose, you will see a list of lens options that are available for the type of specs you require. As you select the different options, the price displayed
- If you require more information about any of the options displayed, click the Help button near the bottom of the page or contact us.
4. Sending your Prescription
- At this point, you give us some information about your prescription and how you wish to send it to us. At thespecsplace.com we don't ask you to put your all your prescription details directly into the website because many people find it difficult to interpret a optical prescription. Also, our opticians need to see a copy of the original prescription to comply properly with the law governing the supply of prescription specs.
- Just follow the instructions on the page. If you get stuck at any point, click the Help button at the bottom of the page or contact us.
- Your specs are now added to your shopping cart. You can now finalise your order and enter your payment details, or carry on shopping.
5. What Happens Next?
- When you have sent us all the required information (if not included during the ordering process) your order will be verified by our staff and finally payment will be taken from your account.
